Silver staged a comeback to trade 1.63 per cent higher at Rs 68,368 a kg in futures trade today after it fell from record level in yesterday’s trade, on enlarging of positions by speculators amid a firming trend in Asian trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July recovered by Rs 1,097 or 1.63 per cent to Rs 68,368 a kg, with a trade volume of 2,396 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in May gathered Rs 1,080 or 1.62 per cent to Rs 67,821 a kg, with a business turnover of 7,321 lots.
Market analysts said reports of partial recovery in silver prices in Asian trade helped the white metal to trade in positive zone here.
Meanwhile, silver rose by 0.33 per cent to $45.75 an ounce in Asian region today.
