There was not much activity on the local steel market on Saturday as prices moved in a tight range in the absence of buying support amid tight funds position and settled around previous levels.
Traders said absence of buying activity due to paucity of funds against adequate stocks, mainly kept steel prices steady.
The following are today’s quotations per tonne: CTD saria (Kamdhenu): 8-mm 50,100, 10-mm 48,300, 12-mm 47,200, 16-25 mm 47,800.
Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 45,400, 10-mm 45,100, 12-mm 44,400, 16-25 mm 44,700. Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 47,300, 10-mm 46,000, 12-mm 45,000, 16-25 mm 45,500.
MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) 44,700, (40x5) (40x6) 33,500. Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) 43,800, (35X5) (65X6) 33,900. Girder 125X65 RS 39,300.
