Prices of tur dal, moong dal and urad dal witnessed a steep fall over the week-end.
Tur dal opened the week at Rs 6,800 and declined to Rs 6,400. Urad dal too shed Rs 200 to close at Rs 6,600. Similarly, moong dal lost Rs 300 to Rs 6,900.
Gram dal, wheat, maida and sooji dropped by Rs 50 each, while sugar prices remained unchanged.
Following are the wholesale rates of in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise: Tur dal 6,400, urad dal 6,600, moong dal 6,900, gram dal 2,850, sugar 2,700, wheat 1,850, maida (90 kg) 1,650 and sooji (90 kg) 1,800.
