Prices of sugar, maida and sooji declined, while urad dal moved up at the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week under review.
Sugar, maida and sooji decreased by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,800, Rs 1,700 and Rs 1,900 from last week’s closing rate of Rs 2,850, Rs 1,750 and Rs 1,950, respectively.
However, urad dal opened the week at Rs 5,900 unchanged from Saturday’s closing price, and rose Rs 100 on Tuesday and traded at the same level and settled today at Rs 6,000 with a gain of Rs 100 per quintal.
Toor dal, moong dal, gram dal and wheat prices remained unaltered throughout the week.
