Tur dal, urad dal, moong dal, sugar and sooji moved down while gram dal went up and wheat and maida remained unchanged at the wholesale foodgrains market during the week under review.
Tur dal opened the week at the previous week’s rate of Rs 6,000 on Monday and declined by Rs 200 per quintal on Wednesday and ended at Rs 5,800 on Saturday.
Urad dal opened the week at Rs 6,600 from its previous close of Rs 6,400 and later declined to Rs 6,300 on Thursday to end the week at Rs 6,200.
Moong dal declined by Rs 300 per quintal on Thursday and recovered by Rs 100 per quintal on Saturday to end at Rs 6,400 against its previous week’s rate of Rs 6,600.
Sugar edged down by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 2,680 from Rs 2,700. Maida (90 kg) dropped by Rs.50 to Rs 1,750 from Rs 1,800. Gram dal rose by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 3,000 from Rs 2,950.
