Pulses witnessed a mixed trend in Indore mandis on Tuesday following subdued demand and weak arrival. Tur continued to rise with the prices of tur (bold) in the spot quoted Rs 150 up at Rs 3,450 a quintal. Tur tur (red) was quoted Rs 3,200 a quintal. Tur dal (marka) also gained Rs 100 at Rs 6,100 a quintal, while tur dal (full) quoted at Rs 5,450-5,600 and tur dal (sawa no.) quoted at Rs 4,950-5,000 a quintal.

Chana, masoor and urad also declined on subdued demand and weak buying support. Chana (kanta) in the spot quoted Rs 25 down at Rs 2,275-80 a quintal, while chana (desi) quoted at Rs 2,275 and chana (mausmi) at Rs 2,400-2,600 a quintal. Chana dal ruled firm with chana dal (bold) in the spot quoted at Rs 2925-50, chana dal (medium) at Rs 2825-50 and chana dal (average) quoted at Rs 2700-Rs 2725 a quintal.

Dollar chana or chickpea ruled high on increased buying support from both the domestic and export market. In the spot, dollar chana was quoted Rs 200- 300 up at Rs 5,400-5,600 a quintal. Arrival of dollar chana in local mandis was recorded at about 8,000 bags.

Masur continued to rule sluggish on weak demand. Masur (bold) in the spot quoted Rs 50 down at Rs 2,950 a quintal. Masur (best quality) showed some improvement on increased buying support, gaining Rs 25 at Rs 2,975 a quintal. Masur dal also saw a corresponding decline with the bold variety being quoted Rs 50 down at Rs 3,625-50 a quintal.

Weak demand and arrival also dragged urad by Rs 50 a quintal with the prices of urad (bold) in the spot quoted at Rs 3,900-4,000, while urad (medium) quoted at Rs 3,500-3,700 a quintal. Urad dal (bold) quoted at Rs 5,900 and urad dal (chilka) quoted at Rs 4,850-4,900 a quintal.

Moong ruled steady with moong (bold) quoted at Rs 4800-Rs 5000 a quintal.
