Tur prices in Indore mandis have been witnessing an uptrend with acute decline in domestic stock and dependency on imported tur. Prices of tur (Maharashtra) in local mandis on Wednesday were quoted ₹50 higher at ₹5,050 a quintal, while tur (Madhya Pradesh) ruled at ₹4,000-4,300 a quintal. Compared with last week, tur is ruling ₹100 a quintal higher. As the new tur crop is still three months away, the uptrend in will continue. Besides, increased festival demand in the coming days will add to bullish trend in tur.

Tur dal ruled firm on subdued demand with tur dal (full) on Wednesday being quoted at ₹6,900-7,100 a quintal, tur dal (sawa no.) at ₹6,400-6,500, while tur marka ruled at ₹7,300-7,400 a quintal.

Moong and moong mongar have been witnessing an uptrend for the past few days with demand outstripping arrival. In the past one week, moong prices have almost gone up by ₹300 a quintal with moong (bold) on Wednesday being quoted at ₹6,700-7,000 a quintal, while moong (medium) ruled at ₹6,200-6,500. Decline in stock of old moong in local mandis has also added to uptrend in moong mongar.

Rise in moong prices has also lifted its dal with moong dal (medium) in local mandis being quoted at ₹7,000-7,100, moong dal (bold) at ₹8,000-8,100, while moong mongar ruled at ₹8,400-8,500 a quintal (up ₹400 from last week).

Urad and its dal ruled stable even as arrival of new urad in local mandis has been rising for the past one week.

Urad (best) in Indore mandis was quoted at ₹4,500-4,600, while urad (medium) ruled at ₹3,600-4,000. Compared to its prices last week, urad is ruling ₹100 a quintal higher. Amid bumper crop report, future of urad appears bearish. Urad dal ruled stable on subdued demand with urad dal (medium) in local mandis being quoted at ₹5,500-5,600, while urad dal (bold) ruled at ₹6,000-6,100 and urad mongar at ₹7,500-8,000.
