Prices of urad dal and gram dal moved up while other major commodities remained unaltered at the wholesale foodgrains market during the week under review.
The market was holiday on Tuesday on account of Janmastami.
Urad dal opened the week at its last week’s rate of Rs 6,200 per quintal and went up by Rs 200 to Rs 6,400 on Wednesday and ended the week at the same rate.
Gram dal went up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 3,900 on Wednesday and remained at the same rate on Saturday against the previous week’s rate of Rs 3,800.
Prices of tur dal at Rs 5,700, moong dal Rs 6,000, sugar Rs 2,850, wheat Rs 1,750, maida Rs 1,700 and sooji Rs 1,800 remained unchanged from its last week’s rates.
