The uptrend in masoor and tur continued on weak arrivals and higher imports.
In the spot market, masoor (bold) gained Rs 25-50 at Rs 3,475-3,500 a quintal, while masoor (medium) ruled at Rs 3,250-3,300 a quintal.
Besides gap short supply, rise in prices of imported pulses on account of strong dollar have added to the bullish sentiment in masoor.
Masoor dal also gained with the average quality being quoted at Rs 3,925-3,950 a quintal (Rs 3,900-3,925), the medium variety ruled at Rs 4,025-4,050 (Rs 4,000-4,025), while the bold variety quoted at Rs 4,175-4,200.
Tur maintained its uptrend for the third consecutive day.
Tur (Maharashtra) ruled at Rs 4,050 (up Rs 50), while tur (Nimari) remained steady at Rs 3,000-3,200.
Tur dal (full) moved up to Rs 5,800-5,900 a quintal (Rs 5,700-5,800), tur dal (sawa no.) ruled at Rs 5,200-5,250 (Rs 5,100-5,200), while tur marka ruled at Rs 6,500-6,600 a quintal (Rs 6,300-6,400).
