Imported palmolein and soyabean refined oil dropped by ₹5 and ₹4 for 10 kg each on the back of slack demand amid weak overseas futuresmarket. Local refineries reduced their rates for palmolein but buyers’ response was lukewarm. During the day hardly 300-350 tonnes of palmolein were traded. Liberty sold about 150-200 tonnes at ₹570 and resellers sold 100-150 at ₹568.
Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹570, super palmolein at ₹589 and soyabean refined oil at ₹658 for July. Ruchi was quoting palmolein at ₹570 , soyabean refined oil ₹650-655 for July and August, sunflower refined oil ₹655. Allana was quoting palmolein ₹575 for July, soyabean refined oil ₹656 . In Saurashtra, groundnut oil telia tin declined to ₹1,200 (₹1,220) and loose (10 kg) to ₹770 (₹775).
