On the back of weak monsoon, groundnut oil and cotton oil increased sharply on Tuesday. Traders said that due to weak monsoon selling decreased and as a result mills are facing shortage of groundnut for crushing.
Groundnut oil loose gained ₹15at ₹770-75 for 10 kg, Jamnagar line telia was up₹22 to ₹1,202-03 for 15 kg and groundnut oil new tin gained ₹20 at ₹1,350-60/15 kg.Similarly, cotton oil too gained on shortage of cotton seed.
Washed cotton oil increased ₹5 to ₹640-643/10 kg and cotton oil new tin gained ₹10 to ₹1,120-40/15 kg.
