Taking negative cues from the global markets, zinc futures prices fell marginally by 0.18 per cent to Rs 112.50 a kg today.
Subdued demand in the spot market also kept pressure on the zinc futures here.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in February declined by 20 paise or 0.18 per cent to Rs 112.50 a kg, with a business turnover of 10 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in March traded lower by 15 paise or 0.17 per cent to Rs 113.50 a kg, with a business volume of six lots.
Market analysts said weakening trend in the entire base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange (LME) and sluggish domestic demand mainly led to the fall in futures here.
Meanwhile, zinc fell 0.6 per cent to $2,493.50 a tonne on the LME.
