Almond futures fall

PTI New Delhi | Updated on June 23, 2011

Almond prices declined by Rs 10.75 to Rs 348.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in profit-booking at existing high levels.

Almond prices for delivery in June declined by Rs 10.75 or 2.99 per cent to Rs 348.50 per kg with an open interest of 12 lots.

Traders said the fall in almond prices was mainly due to profit-booking by traders and speculators, driven by subdued demand in the spot market.
