Edible oils witnessed a decline on back of less-than-expected demand. Groundnut, cotton and palmolein lost ₹5 per 10 kg each, while soya oil dropped by ₹2. Weak Saurashtra market pushed down indigenous oils and steady overseas market weighed on imported oils. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin declined by ₹30 to ₹1,470 and loose (10 kg) decreased by ₹15 to ₹925. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 950 (955), soya ref. 700 (702), sunflower exp. ref. 660 (660), sunflower ref. 710 (710), rapeseed ref. 805 (805), rapeseed exp. ref. 775 (775), cottonseed ref. 690 (695) and palmolein 620 (625).
