Brent crude extended its gains for a second session on Thursday, above $98, on better-than-expected US home sales data and an assurance by the Federal Reserve to keep the monetary policy steady.
ICE Brent crude for March gained 11 cents to $98.02. US crude oil for March delivery rose 21 cents to $87.54 a barrel.
