Castor price moved down in spot market on higher arrival of the seed. However, on the hope of rise in demand in coming days, castor was moved up in futures. Trader said that, arrival of castor was increased in past few days which pressurized the price in spot market. However, on expectation of fresh export demand, price was gone up in futures. About 1.10 lakh bags of castor seed arrived in Gujarat and price declined by ₹20 to ₹615-625 per 20 kg. About 4,500 bags arrived in Saurashtra and price gone down by ₹25 to ₹610-620 per 20 kg. Castor oil remained unchanged at ₹640 per 10 kg. At the Rajkot Commodity Exchange (RCX) castor June contract increased by ₹37 to ₹3,343 per quintal. RCX spot castor decreased by ₹47.50 to ₹3,137.50 per 100 kg.
