Prices of Bt cotton edged up at Erode auction centres on Monday.
At the Anthiyur Regulated Market Committee, 6,000 bags of Bt cotton (roughly about 300 tonnes) arrived for sale and fetched ₹5,500 a quintal. This is about ₹100 more than last week’s price. Last week end, at the Bhoodapady Regulated Market Committee, 331.5 tonnes were sold at ₹4,900-5,300, which is ₹80 higher than last week’s price.
