Cotton prices ruled unchanged on the back of limited buying activity in the market. Due to Bakrid, most markets were closed. Kapas or raw cotton also traded flat. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton traded at ₹30,000-34,000 for a candy of 356 kg according to quality. Kapas was quoted ₹800-850 for a maund of 20 kg and gin delivery stood at ₹825-85/ maund . As markets were closed, arrival of cotton decreased to 2,500-3,000 bales (of 170 kg) in Gujarat against last week’s 6,000 bales. About 10,000 bales cotton arrived across the country.
