Crude oil futures declined by 0.68 per cent to Rs 3,934 per barrel today in line with a weak trend in Asian trade.

Crude oil for delivery in July shed Rs 27 or 0.68 per cent to Rs 3,934 per barrel with a business volume of 123 lots at the futures trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange.

Similarly, the oil prices for June delivery moved down Rs 23 or 0.59 per cent to Rs 3,895 per barrel with a business volume of 2,045 lots.

Marketmen said the fall was mostly in step with a weak trend in Asian trade today, reversing steep gains in the previous session, as dealers awaited the latest US energy stock report amid concerns about a sustained global supply glut.

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude oil for delivery in July was down 35 cents at $60.91, while Brent for July eased 27 cents to $65.22 a barrel in late-morning trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
