Crude oil rose 0.2 per cent to Rs 3,508 per barrel at the futures market today as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from Asian markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in November rose Rs 7 or 0.20 per cent to Rs 3,508 per barrel in a business turnover of 2,065 lots.
Analysts said, building up of fresh positions by speculators on positive Asian cues lifted prices at the futures trade here.
Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate gained 0.04 per cent to $53.92, while Brent crude traded at $60.13 per barrel.
