With the monsoon continuing to play truant, prices of majority of pulse seeds in Indore mandis have gone up with stockists restricting their supplies to mandis. Chana kanta declined marginally to ₹4,350-75 a quintal on slack buying support at higher rate. Chana (desi) ruled at ₹4,100. Given decline in domestic stock and expected demand in chana from August onwards during the festive season, chana may see a rally in its prices in the coming days, said Shankar Osawa, a wholesale pulse trader. Chana dal (average) was at ₹4,950-5,050, chana dal (medium) ₹5,150-5,250, while chana dal (bold) was ₹5,460-5,850. Dollar chana ruled firm at ₹4,500-5,200 on subdued buying support.
