With normal need-based activities edible oils prices ruled calm and steady on Wednesday barring groundnut and sunflower oils which showed a ₹5 increase and decrease each on the Bombay Commodity Exchange. Sources said stockists continued to give fresh orders for palmolein and soyabean refined oil. Indigenous edible oils were under pressure on good progress of monsoon rain across the country.
Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹511 JNPT, super palmolein ₹537 and soyabean refined oil ₹595. Ruchi traded palmolein for ₹507, soyabean refined oil ₹590, sunflower refined oil ₹690. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹515, super palmolein ₹540, soyabean refined oil ₹592 and sunflower oil ₹695. In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin declined to ₹1,550 (1,560) and loose (10 kg) dropped to ₹990 (1,000).
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 960 (955), soya ref. oil 590 (590), sunflower exp. ref. 630 (635), sunflower ref. 685 (690), rapeseed ref. oil 875 (875), rapeseed exp. ref. 845 (845), cottonseed ref. oil 610 (610) and palmolein 506 (506).
