Tracking a weak trend in the Asian region, gold futures prices fell by 0.2 per cent to Rs 22,805 per 10 grams today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, gold for delivery in October shed Rs 46 or 0.2 per cent to Rs 22,805 per 10 grams with a business turnover of 12 lots. Similarly, June contract traded lower by Rs 22 or 0.1 per cent to Rs 22,285 per 10 grams with a business volume of just one lot.
Market analysts said a subdued trend in the overseas market mainly kept pressure on gold prices at the futures trade here.
Meanwhile, the yellow metal fell by $3.50 to $1,530.30 an ounce in London.
