Groundnut oil loose edged up as local brands started buying. However, retail market remained unchanged on moderate demand. Traders said that overall demand for both groundnut oil and cotton oil was flat in retail market but some brands have started buying to fulfil their commitments which lifted the price on Tuesday.
Groundnut oil loose increased ₹5 to ₹840-845 per 10 kg, Jamnagar line telia tin gained ₹7 to ₹1,307-08 per 15 kg. Groundnut oil new tin remained unchanged at ₹1,455-60 per 15 kg. About 10-12 tankers of groundnut oil were traded from Saurashtra’s mils. Washed cotton oil was up ₹5 to ₹507-510 per 10 kg and new tin was ₹950-970 per 15 kg. About 55-60 tankers of cotton oil were traded here.
