Guarseed prices moved up by Rs 24 to Rs 3,072 per quintal at the future trading today on increased buying driven by higher spot demand.
Market analysts said pick-up in demand from guargum making industries against fall in supply at the physical markets influenced the trading sentiment.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guarseed prices for May delivery increased by Rs 24 or 0.79 per cent to Rs 3,072 per quintal with an open interest of 1,85,240 lots. Likewise, June contract also went up by Rs 21 or 0.68 to Rs 3,119 per quintal with an open interest of 35,950 lots.
