Higher import and unloading of imported chana from Mumbai due to heavy rains there further lifted chana prices with chana (kanta) today rising to ₹5,900 a quintal, while chana (desi) rose to ₹5,700 a quintal. Compared to last week chana is ruling ₹200 a quintal higher. Chana dal ruled higher on rise in chana with chana dal (average) today being quoted at ₹7,200-7,300 a quintal, chana dal (medium) at ₹7,700-7,800, while chana dal (bold) rose to ₹8,100- 8,200 a quintal. Strong domestic demand perked up dollar chana to ₹13,000 a quintal amid arrival of 1,500-1,700 bags in mandis across Madhya Pradesh today. In containerdollar chana traded higher with its (44/46 count) being quoted at ₹14,000-Rs 14,200 a quintal.
