The Indian basket of crude oil traded at $51.60 per barrel (bbl) on August 8 against $51.04 per bbl traded on August 7.

The Indian basket of crude oil defines the benchmark price at which crude oil is sourced by Indian refiners.

The data is computed and published by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

In rupee terms, the prices increased to Rs 3,288.77 per bbl on August 8 compared with Rs 3253.35 per bbl on August 7. Rupee closed unchanged at Rs. 63.74 per dollar on August 8.
