Weak availability and improved buying have lifted chana prices in the past one week by ₹125-150 a quintal with chana (kanta) rising to ₹ 5,025-50 a quintal, while chana (desi) ruled at ₹4,800, chana (mausmi) at ₹5,000 and Kabuli Bitki ruled at ₹5,500. Chana dal (average) was being quoted at ₹ 5,700-6,200 and chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹6,700-6,900 a quintal. In container also dollar chana ruled stable on subdued and sluggish export demand dollar chana 42/44 count at ₹7,900-₹7,925, dollar chana (44/46 count) declined to ₹7,700-7,725 (up ₹100 from last week), while dollar chana 58/60 count ruled at ₹6,425-50 and dollar chana 60/62 count was quoted at ₹6,200-6,225 a quintal respectively.
