In restricted activity, malka prices shot up by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market on Saturday on increased local demand amid lower arrivals from producing regions.
Marketmen said increased local demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to a rise in malka prices.
In the national capital, malka local and best quality was up by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,500-4,550 and Rs 4,700-4,800 per quintal, respectively.
Besin Shaktibhog and Rajdhani were also ended higher by Rs 70 to Rs 2,290 each per 35 kg bag.

Urad 4,100-4,700, Urad Chilka (local) 4,950-5,250, best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,950-6,040, Moong 4,100-5,100, Dal Moong Chilka local 4,950-5,350, Moong Dhoya local 5,450-5,550 and best quality 6,150-6,250.
Masoor small 4,000-4,300, bold 4,150-4,400, Dal Masoor local 5,000-5,100, best quality 5,100-5,200, Malka local 4,500-4,550, best 4,700-4,800, Moth 3,000-3,400, Arhar 3,750-4,050, Dal Arhar Dara 5,250-5,450.
Gram 4,850-5,800, Gram Dal (local) 5,500-5,600, best quality 5,550-5,650, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 2,290, Rajdhani 2,290, Rajmah Chitra 7,600-9,600, Kabli Gram small 5,200-8,700, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 4,800-5,600, Peas white 2,950-3,000 and green 3,000-3,100.
