Mentha oil prices rose by Rs 6.20 to Rs 1,104.40 per kg at the futures trade today due to pick-up in demand at the spot market. Restricted arrivals from the producing regions further fuelled the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for March contract rose by Rs 6.20 or 0.56 per cent to Rs 1,104.40 per kg with a business turnover of two lots. Similarly, February contract inched up by Rs 5.80 or 0.53 per cent to Rs 1,098.70 per kg with an open interest of single lot.
Market analysts said pick-up in demand at the spot market helped mentha oil futures prices to trade higher.
