Castorseed futures declined marginally on profit booking while on the spot it moved up on slow arrival and fresh export enquiries. According to traders, price may fall in spot also as monsoon progress in castor growing areas in Gujarat is quite good and farmers may sell their produce to clear the stock. On the Rajkot Commodity Exchange (RCX) castor September contract was down Rs 3 to Rs 4,233 a quintal. RCX spot castor moved up Rs 25 to Rs 3,900. About 52,000-55,000 bags arrived in Gujarat and price was up Rs 5 to Rs 775-785 for a maund of 20 kg. Around 1,600-1,700 bags of castor arrived in Saurashtra and price was Rs 755-765. Castor oil gained Rs 5 to Rs 785/10 kg.
