Edible oils prices were mixed on Tuesday tracking thin volatility in futures market, amid need-based physical demand. Futures rebounded from previous day’s low on profit-booking. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, groundnut oil rose by ₹10 for 10 kg on firm reports from Saurashtra. Cotton and rapeseed refined oil declined by ₹5 each. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹485/487, super palmolein ₹507 and soyabean refined oil ₹585. Ruchi traded palmolein at ₹480, soyabean refined oil ₹576 and sunflower refined oil ₹640. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹485, super palmolein ₹512, soyabean refined oil ₹590 and sunflower oil ₹640.
In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin was at ₹1,300 (₹1,290) and loose (10 kg) at ₹830 (₹825).
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 840 (830), soya refined oil 575 (575), sunflower exp. ref. 565 (565), sunflower ref. 625 (620), rapeseed ref. oil 725 (730), rapeseed expeller ref. 695 (700), cottonseed ref. oil 555 (560) and palmolein 478 (478).
