Edible oils prices ruled mixed on Thursday on slack physical demand amid weak futures. Local demand was thin in isolated resale trade. Stockists stayed away from fresh bet. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, groundnut, palmolein and sunflower oil ruled steady, while soya, cotton oil and rapeseed rose by ₹2, ₹3 and ₹23 each. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹490 JNPT and ₹493 Mumbai-Shapur, super palmolein ₹525, soyabean refined oil ₹585. Ruchi traded palmolein at ₹485, soyabean refined oil ₹573, sunflower refined oil ₹633-635. Allana’s rates: palmolein ₹485, super palmolein ₹515, soyabean refined oil ₹568 and sunflower oil ₹635.
In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil Telia tin was up at ₹1,585 (1,560) and loose (10 kg) at ₹1,020 (₹1,000).
