Sugar prices at Vashi rose by ₹40a quintal for S-grade and declined by ₹11 for M-grade higher side but remained flat lower side on routine activities. At upper Naka and mill level trend remained steady.
Arrivals to the Vashi market were about 62 truck loads and local dispatches were at same level. On Wednesday, about 22 mills sold about 40,000 bags at ₹3050-3,250 for S-grade and ₹3,170-3,350 for M-grade. On Bombay Sugar Merchants Association's spot rates were: (in ₹) S-grade 3,210- 3,355 and M-grade 3,286 – 3,581. Naka delivery rates were:(in ₹) S-grade 3,230– 3,370 and M-grade 3,270 – 3,460 unchanged since Monday.
