Even as arrival of new mustard across mandis in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan gathered steam, mustard oil ruled flat on slack demand. Mustard oil prices in Indore mandis on Thursday remained steady at ₹678. In Neemuch and Morena mandis of Madhya Pradesh also, mustard oil ruled flat at ₹670 and ₹685 respectively.
Given robust crop prospect and rise in arrival of new crop in mandis in the coming days, the sluggish trend in mustard and its oil will continue in the coming days.
On Thursday, mustard seeds prices declined to ₹3,600-3,800 (down ₹200, while raida declined to ₹3,100-3,300 a quintal). Plant deliveries of new mustard seeds for Jaipur line was quoted at ₹3,871, while plant deliveries of old mustard seeds was ₹3,885-90.
Arrival of mustard across the country on Thursday was recorded at 1.13 lakh bags (75,000 bags last week).
