Spot pepper prices moved up on acute shortage. There was neither any arrival nor any offtake. No activities were reported on the national and regional exchanges. Other origins were firm as US buyers have reportedly started covering Vietnam Asta at between $9,300 and 9,500. Spot prices moved up by ₹400 to ₹70,400 (ungarbled) and ₹72,900 (garbled) a quintal. Export prices were at around $12,500 (c&f) for Europe and $12,750 a tonne (c&f) for the US.
