Pepper markets witnessed further fall on selling pressure, trade sources told BusinessLine . High Range pepper was traded at ₹610-615 a kg. On the terminal market, 18 tonnes were traded. Spot prices fell further by ₹300 a quintal to ₹59,900 (ungarbled) and ₹62900 (garbled).
February and March contracts on the IPSTA lost ₹1,000 a quintal each to ₹61,000 and ₹60,000 respectively. Export prices were at $9,550 a tonne c&f for Europe and $9,800 for the US.
