Pepper prices in spot and futures markets ruled steady on Thursday due to lack of activity. There were neither arrivals nor offtakes because of the motor vehicle operators/workers strike, trade sources here told BusinessLine . Spot prices ruled at previous levels of ₹58,500 (ungarbled) and ₹61,500 (garbled) a quintal. Active contracts for May and June on the IPSTA platform stayed unchanged at ₹61,500 and ₹61,490 a quintal respectively. Indian export prices also stayed unchanged at previous levels.
