Refined soya oil traded higher by Rs 2 to Rs 624.10 per 10 kg at the futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions on the back of seasonal demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 2 or 0.32 per cent to Rs 624.10 per 10 kg with an open interest of a single lot. Similarly, April contract edged up by 40 paise or 0.06 per cent to Rs 634.20 per 10 kg with a business turnover of one lot.

Analysts said rising demand in the spot market, due to the ongoing marriage season, led to the rise in refined soya oil futures prices.
