Sugar prices on the Vashi wholesale market extended loss by ₹10-20 a quintal tracking selling by producers at ₹20-30 lower on Monday. Naka rates were unchanged. Arrivals were at 59-60 truck loads and local dispatches were at 55-56 loads. Inventory remained stable at 105-110 loads. Freight rates were steady. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates (in ₹): S-grade 3,170-3,252 and M-grade 3,250-3,545. Naka delivery rates: S-grade 3,100-3,250 and M-grade 3,200-3,350.
