Sluggish demand and rise in selling pressure have dragged chana and other pulse seeds in Indore mandis with chana (kanta) today declining to ₹4,250-75 a quintal (down ₹50-75). Similarly, chana (desi) declined to ₹4,000, while Kabuli Bitki ruled firm at ₹5,100-5,300. Chana dal (average) was being quoted at ₹4,850-4,950, chana dal (medium) ₹5,050-5,150, while chana dal (bold) was ₹5,360-5,750. Dollar chana ruled firm at ₹4,500-5,200 on subdued buying support, even as its arrival declined to 4,000-5,000 bags. In container, dollar chana (42/44 count) fetched ₹5,800-25; 44/46 count ₹5,600-25; 46/48 count ₹5,500; 58/60 count ₹4,900, while dollar chana 60/62 count was ₹4,800 a quintal.
