Slack demand due to availability of imported pepper in all the markets has pulled down spot prices further on Wednesday.
On the terminal market six tonnes of mixed pepper were traded at ₹477 a kg.
Spot prices slipped further by ₹100 a quintal to close at ₹47,900 (ungarbled) and ₹49,900 (garbled) a quintal.
Indian export prices were at $8,050 a tonne c&f for Europe and $8,300 a tonne c&f for the US.
