Notwithstanding slack physical demand, majority of oils in Indore mandis either traded marginally higher or ruled flat on improved global cues with soy refined today being quoted at ₹672-73 for 10 kg ( ₹669 last week), while soy solvent ruled at ₹640-44 (₹635 last week). Similarly palm oil traded higher at ₹652 ( ₹645-46 last week), while cotton oil ruled at ₹618-20 and groundnut oil at ₹930-50.
Improved demand in mustard oil also perked up mustard seeds and raida with mustard seeds in the physical market today being quoted at ₹4,500-4,600, while raida ruled at ₹3,400 and soybean at ₹2,800 a quintal. Plant deliveries of mustard seeds for Jaipur line were also quoted higher at ₹4,000-4,005 a quintal.
Arrival of mustard seeds across the country today was recorded at 1.25 lakh bags. Rajasthan led the arrival with 50,000 bags, followed Uttar Pradesh and Punjab/Haryana with 20,000 bags each, Madhya Pradesh - 10,000 bags, Gujarat - 5,000 bags, while 20,000 bags were offloaded elsewhere in the country.
