The domestic rubber prices continued to rule weak on Thursday. RSS 4 slid to ₹131 (₹131.50) a kg, according to traders and the Rubber Board. The grade surrendered to ₹128 (₹128.50) as reported by the dealers. The market opened weak and finally settled within a narrow range amidst scattered transactions. The trend was mixed and volume low. July futures declined ₹130.90 (₹132.95), August to ₹131.90 (₹134.04) and September to ₹132.30 (₹134.30) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
RSS 3 (spot) slipped to ₹115.48 (₹116.02) at Bangkok. July futures closed at ¥213.4 (₹109.81) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates ₹/ kg were : RSS-4: 131 (131.50); RSS-5: 128 (129); Ungraded: 118 (118); ISNR 20: 121 (121) and Latex (60% drc): 119 (119).
