Bearish trend continued in sugar market on Wednesday on increased selling pressure considering higher sugar production during the first two months. Mills sold the commodity at ₹10-20 a quintal lower than previous day. Naka rates were steady.
Arrivals to the Vashi market were steady at 57-58 truck loads and local dispatches were about 55-56 loads. Freight rates were steady. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,380-3,525 and M-grade ₹3,486-3,740. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,400-3,500 and M-grade ₹3,470-3,600.
