Sugar remained unchanged on higher selling from mills with the start of new crushing season amid limited demand. Prices at Vashi were down ₹10-20 a quintal for old fair quality stocks. Naka and mill tender rates were steady. Arrivals at Vashi market were steady at 59-60 truck loads and local dispatches were at same level. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: (in ₹) S-grade 3,542-3,640 and M-grade 3,612-3,852. Naka delivery rates: (in ₹) S-grade 3,480-3,520 and M-grade 3,570-3,670.
