Sugar sees range-bound trading

Sugar prices increased by ₹3-5 a quintal for fine quality and remained steady for fair quality at Vashi market. Naka and mill tender rates were range-bound. Arrivals and local dispatches were at par keeping inventories unchanged at 110-115 truck loads.

Freight rates were steady. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates:S-grade ₹3,582-3,760 (3,582-3,756) and M-grade ₹3,662-3,902 (3,662-3,896). Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,560-3,640 (3,560-3,640) and M-grade ₹3,630-3,730 (3,630-3,730).
