Sugar market ruled steady on Friday on routine demand, supply and volumes. At Vashi prices for fine quality firmed up by ₹5 – 10 a quintal and ruled steady for fair variety. Arrivals at Vashi were 60-61 truck loads and local dispatches were at 61- 62 truck loads. On Thursday evening 16-17 mills offer tenders and sold about 50,000 bags at ₹3,510-3,580 for S-grade and ₹3,610 – 3,670 for M-grade. On Bombay Sugar Merchants Association's spot rates were: (in ₹) S-grade 3,656-3,766 ( 3,670 – 3,756) and M-grade 3,772 – 3,942 (3,762 – 3,932). Naka delivery rates were: (in ₹) S-grade 3,620-3,700 (3,620-3,700) and M-grade 3,720-3,800 (3,720 – 3,800).
