The price of the yellow spice has been decreased on Friday said Krishnamurthy, a trader. He said though the market was assembled on Friday, to be closed for another two days Saturday and Sunday. Because of this many farmers did not brought their turmeric for sale. Further there is no upcountry demand for the turmeric now, so the traders have purchased very limited stock of turmeric. The finger turmeric was decreased by ₹300 to ₹500 a quintal and the root variety was decreased by ₹400 a quintal.
