Uptrend continued in pepper on Thursday on strong upcountry demand amid tight supply. There were neither any arrivals nor any offtake today on the terminal market. However, Karnataka sellers reported to have delivered 500 GL pepper at Erode at ₹715 a kg while it is offered at ₹720 to Delhi markets. Spot prices moved up by ₹500 a quintal to ₹67,800 (ungarbled) and ₹70,800 (garbled). Export prices stayed unchanged at $12,050 a tonne cf for Europe and $12,300 for the US.
